Chief of Staff to the CEO

Descriere

  • Support the CEO in extending their impact across the company.
  • Run the executive operating rhythm and keep the leadership team aligned.
  • Create CEO presentations, scripts, talking points, and messaging.
  • Prepare the CEO and executives for public speaking and media appearances.
  • Coordinate CEO speaking requests with Marketing.
  • Write company-wide announcements and thought leadership content for the CEO.
  • Work with Marketing and PR on press releases, books, and external media.
  • Coordinate culture initiatives led by the CEO.
  • Set agendas, facilitate executive meetings, and track follow-up.
  • Plan Board meetings, executive offsites, QBRs, All Hands, Weekly Huddles, ELT meetings, and operations meetings.
  • Join strategic meetings, conferences, and offsites with the CEO, documenting decisions and timelines.
  • Manage board decks, board letters, investor materials, and preparation for Board Working Team calls.
  • Distribute Board documents through Box and serve as the Vista team’s day-to-day contact.
  • Lead annual strategic planning with Finance, the CFO, and the ELT.
  • Lead the V2MOM process and reporting.
  • Assist with M&A and strategic partnership evaluations.
  • Lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives sponsored by the CEO from start to finish.
  • Create executive dashboards, KPI tracking, performance reports, and business reviews.
  • Integrate AI into planning, reporting, and analysis workflows.
  • Advise business-unit GMs and functional leaders on strategic matters.
  • Respond promptly by email, Slack, text, and phone, including outside regular hours and on Sunday evenings.
  • Travel locally, nationally, and internationally to work onsite with the CEO as needed.
  • Occasionally travel for team meetings, training, and company events.

Cerințe

  • Bring 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate success in a Chief of Staff, strategy, business operations, management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity role.
  • Show exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a senior executive’s voice.
  • Think in a structured way and turn ambiguous information into clear recommendations.
  • Manage multiple complex, cross-functional workstreams and drive accountability without formal authority.
  • Apply analytical skills, including financial modeling and synthesis of data from multiple sources.
  • Use Excel, PowerPoint or Google Slides, and modern data and collaboration tools proficiently.
  • Bring strong executive presence and interpersonal skills.
  • Use leading LLMs and AI assistants hands-on every day, with strong AI fluency.
  • Understand how to embed AI into operating rhythms.
  • Have experience designing operating cadences, annual planning cycles, and company-wide goal-setting.
  • Be familiar with OKR/V2MOM and annual planning processes.
  • Use sound judgment and discretion, and stay aligned with CEO priorities.
  • Work comfortably amid ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Preferred: MBA from a top-tier program.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with customer success, post-sale SaaS, or customer success technology.
  • Preferred: Experience building AI workflows, custom GPTs, agents, or lightweight automations.
  • Preferred: M&A due diligence or post-merger integration experience, or experience with private equity sponsors.
