Principal System Operations Manager – South Carolina Remote

Apraksts

  • Own platform availability, performance monitoring, and service continuity.
  • Apply escalation procedures across support tiers L1–L5.
  • Direct major incident investigations and lasting corrective actions.
  • Oversee system updates, patches, troubleshooting, defect tracking, observability, and outage response.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state and federal policies, and internal audit controls.
  • Advance cloud readiness, refactoring, virtualization, platform reengineering, and other modernization work.
  • Work with architecture and engineering teams on SOA, DevOps, and enterprise integration practices.
  • Implement security controls and data protection, and oversee SOC audits and disaster recovery planning.
  • Coordinate remediation of system security vulnerabilities.
  • Design and improve ITSM processes using ITIL 4.
  • Oversee Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
  • Manage major incident reporting, KPIs, SLAs, second-level support, escalations, release support, disaster recovery exercises, and SOC audits.
  • Plan technical work for initiatives, migrations, upgrades, and risk mitigation.
  • Report defects and submit change requests; coordinate reporting with the PMO.
  • Contribute to project governance, CAB reviews, readiness assessments, and production deployment approvals.
  • Serve as the main systems contact for client leaders and represent systems in status meetings and steering committees.
  • Work with clients to assess future needs and develop solution roadmaps.
  • Report operational impacts during outages, escalations, and planned changes.
  • Lead and coach technical and operations staff.
  • Set objectives, provide performance feedback, maintain ownership maps, and support cross-training and succession planning.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • More than 10 years of experience in IT systems engineering, operations, or infrastructure leadership.
  • At least 5 years in technical and service delivery leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in ITIL 4, ITSM, and technical project execution in complex, regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC, and enterprise compliance frameworks.
  • Medicare MIS or healthcare platform experience preferred.
  • Video cameras are required for all interviews and during the first week of orientation.
