Senior Client Partner, Retail, CPG and Pharma

Grow enterprise relationships across retail, consumer packaged goods, and pharmaceutical sectors for Knit, an AI-powered research agency. Lead renewals, account expansion, and strategic partnerships.

Description

  • Manage and grow 10–20 enterprise accounts across retail, CPG, and pharma, including current clients and targeted new prospects.
  • Increase renewals and account growth through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Find new business units, teams, and platform applications in areas such as shopper journeys, packaging and claims testing, category strategy, innovation, brand positioning, and patient and HCP research.
  • Advise senior leaders in consumer and shopper insights, category management, brand, commercial insights, and market research.
  • Build and carry out account plans that uncover growth opportunities, prioritize client goals, map stakeholders, and increase revenue.
  • Lead renewal and expansion negotiations with sales leadership.
  • Work with Customer Success, Research, and Product teams to increase client value and platform adoption.
  • Represent Knit at industry conferences, client summits, and events for retail, CPG, and pharma.
  • Keep pipeline records, forecasts, and account documentation accurate.
  • Win new enterprise partnerships and grow revenue through renewals, upsells, and cross-sells.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years in enterprise account management, client partnerships, or strategic sales within research and insights.
  • Experience selling to and growing accounts with retailers, CPG manufacturers, and/or pharmaceutical or healthcare companies.
  • Working knowledge of how insights teams support brand, category, and commercial functions.
  • Ability to independently lead customer relationships and enter new buying centers within existing enterprise accounts.
  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 clients, including chief research or insights officers, vice presidents, and directors or more senior leaders in insights roles.
  • Experience selling contracts worth $100,000 or more to Fortune 500 clients and managing enterprise relationships worth over $1 million.
  • A record of managing Fortune 500 clients with complex, multi-business-unit structures.
  • Consistent achievement of growth, renewal, or net revenue retention targets.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements valued in the six or seven figures.
  • Consultative, discovery-led approach with excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organization and disciplined pipeline and account management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Customer Success, Research, and Product.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and helping shape processes as the company grows.
  • Preferred: experience selling to pharma commercial or market research teams, including HCP and patient research and related compliance considerations.
  • Preferred: knowledge of retailer-manufacturer relationships, category management, or retail media.
  • Preferred: experience in SaaS, AI, or technology-enabled services.
  • Preferred: management of global or multi-market client portfolios.
  • Preferred: success in a high-growth company or startup.
