Lead human resources strategy for WM in a hybrid Burbank role. Advise leaders on labor relations, workforce performance, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and HR operations.

Description

  • Develop and implement HR solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Assess organizational challenges, design solutions, and carry out action plans
  • Plan and coordinate HR functions, programs, and resources
  • Oversee succession planning, learning and development, and employee growth programs
  • Implement initiatives that strengthen organizational health and culture
  • Lead and support diversity and inclusion efforts
  • Coach and advise managers across functions and departments
  • Deliver measurable HR programs connected to business priorities
  • Serve on operating-unit and functional leadership teams
  • Recommend HR solutions and organizational changes informed by operational analysis
  • Work with Centers of Expertise to deliver HR strategies and programs
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives
  • Hire, manage, develop, and coach HR team members
  • Create leadership presentations and written management reports
  • Advise leaders on employment law and applicable local, state, federal, and provincial compliance
  • Implement organizational change initiatives
  • Apply innovative approaches to evolving workforce needs
  • Partner with the HR Director on process improvements and new initiatives
  • Provide HR expertise, coaching, guidance, and technical advice
  • Collaborate with local teams on recruitment outreach
  • Oversee new-hire orientation
  • Manage separation notices, documentation, and exit interviews
  • Analyze absenteeism and turnover data and recommend corrective procedures
  • Oversee training on company policies and programs
  • Advise managers on employee and labor relations issues
  • Support budgeting and analyze workforce and financial data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or labor relations, human resources management, psychology, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED and four years of experience
  • At least five years of experience managing HR systems, processes, programs, initiatives, and professionals beyond the education requirement
  • Demonstrated experience in labor or union relations
  • Experience serving as an HR leader, people leader, and coach
  • Strong business partnership and collaboration abilities
  • Current REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one if needed for air travel or access to federal property
