HR Specialist, Italy (Remote)

Support clients across Italy and Southern Europe with HR compliance, employee relations, contracts, mobility, and workforce processes through G-P’s global employment platform.

Description

  • Serve as the main HR contact for onboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and terminations
  • Handle sensitive employee-relations matters, participate in meetings, and prepare legally sound documentation
  • Manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisers
  • Respond to client questions about benefits, compliance, and workforce planning
  • Advise on Southern European labour laws and relevant cultural considerations
  • Review employment contracts and recommend measures to reduce risk
  • Support clients with Performance Improvement Plans and coordinate timely salary updates
  • Coordinate employees’ immigration and mobility requirements with the Global Mobility team
  • Determine which tasks can be delegated, document procedures, and support effective handovers
  • Advance automation and AI use to improve HR workflows
  • Lead compliance governance initiatives across Southern European markets
  • Drive the global standardization and continuous improvement of HR practices

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional HR experience
  • Fluent Italian and English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Strong expertise in labour law and practical knowledge of employment regulations across Southern Europe, particularly Italy and NCBA
  • Background in handling complex employee-relations matters
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort with HRIS, Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, Zoom, and Slack
  • Knowledge of the employer-of-record industry is preferred
  • Experience supporting other Southern European countries, including Italy, is preferred
