Executive Construction Advisory Board Member - US Remote

Senior construction leaders advise WIL on workforce intelligence, labor markets, operational growth, and leadership strategy. The remote role includes travel for partner and field engagements.

Description

  • Advise on construction labor markets, hiring conditions, compensation patterns, and workforce limitations
  • Assess contractor growth, backlog development, regional expansion, and workforce-related execution risks
  • Review construction labor research, compensation benchmarks, and workforce forecasts
  • Join executive discussions covering labor availability, retention, organizational development, and operational scale
  • Interpret emerging conditions across the construction market and workforce
  • Support executive briefings, industry reports, research programs, and market intelligence publications
  • Advise on leadership hiring, organizational constraints, succession planning, and workforce strategy
  • Evaluate the operational effects of labor shortages and compensation pressures
  • Identify workforce risks that could affect project delivery, profitability, and contractor performance
  • Work with WIL research and advisory teams to strengthen construction workforce intelligence

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in commercial construction, infrastructure, mission-critical construction, industrial construction, renewable energy, specialty contracting, or a closely related field
  • Current or previous senior leadership experience as a President, COO, Executive Vice President, VP of Operations, Division Executive, Regional Executive, General Manager, Operations Executive, Preconstruction Executive, Senior Project Executive, or comparable leader
  • Strong knowledge of construction workforce planning, labor constraints, hiring strategy, operational expansion, and project delivery
  • Experience managing multiple projects, large operating teams, regional business units, or substantial construction programs
  • Hands-on leadership experience in the construction industry
  • Willingness to consider full-time employment or project-based contract work in a remote-first arrangement, with travel when partner or field work requires it
  • Experience addressing labor shortages, compensation pressure, retention issues, rapid growth, or regional expansion
  • Interest in workforce forecasting, operational analytics, construction market intelligence, or industry research
