Admissions Counselor, Online Programs (California Remote)

Recruit and advise prospective students for Alliant University’s online degree programs. Manage applications, interviews, communications, and outreach across multiple student channels.

Description

  • Lead admissions activities for Alliant University’s online degree programs
  • Handle prospective-student inquiries by phone, email, and live chat
  • Conduct interviews with prospective students
  • Develop relationships with prospective and continuing students, university stakeholders, school districts, and professional organizations
  • Provide admissions guidance and customer support throughout the enrollment process
  • Oversee applications and arrange student interviews
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and follow established phone and email outreach practices
  • Explain program options and requirements across degree offerings
  • Track applicant communications in Salesforce and CampusNexus (CNS)
  • Represent admissions at recruitment fairs, conventions, and conferences
  • Organize and present program information at open houses, webinars, community colleges, graduation fairs, and local businesses
  • Arrange interviews with faculty members and/or program directors
  • Prepare weekly reports and admissions updates for program directors and the director of admissions
  • Work with Student Business Services, Financial Aid, Admissions, Student Advising, and Scholarships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in college or university admissions, or at least two years of customer service, sales, or marketing experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management system
  • Experience using integrated higher-education business software, including relational databases
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with people of varied ages and backgrounds
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with strong accuracy
  • Ability to contribute effectively as a team member
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to protect confidential information
  • Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Current authorization to work full-time in the United States
  • Successful completion of criminal, employment, and education background checks
