Clinical Care Account Manager – Australia (Remote)

Coordinate high-risk mental health cases for Intellect’s mining-sector clients across Australia. Oversee treatment, risk governance, fitness-for-work assessments, and reintegration planning.

Tavsif

  • Manage high-risk cases from post-assessment handover through escalation, support, fitness-for-work assessment, and closure.
  • Monitor care requests, arrange appropriate responses, and assign cases to suitably qualified and registered clinicians.
  • Ensure therapy sessions are booked, completed, and documented within agreed service levels, coordinating scheduling with care navigators.
  • Review open cases for delays and follow up with clinicians, network partners, and client contacts to maintain progress.
  • Serve as the helpline’s third-level escalation point for case clarifications and complex concerns.
  • Coordinate with client contacts and site teams on situational updates, align support plans with treating clinicians, and monitor employee progress.
  • Adjust support plans and arrange provider rematching when required.
  • Apply culturally and contextually informed clinical formulation, including for First Nations employees and isolated site-based workers.
  • Review and approve risk assessments, validate risk tiers, and establish review schedules and monitoring requirements.
  • Make clinical determinations on disputed risk ratings, medical assessment pathways, and session credits.
  • Ensure clinical records and risk assessments meet client frameworks and internal standard operating procedures.
  • Help develop and maintain clinical protocols, risk frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Initiate and coordinate fitness-for-work assessments, communicate findings, and create and monitor reintegration plans.
  • Serve as the designated clinical contact for client chaplaincy, medical, health and safety, and people teams.
  • Prepare case trackers and monthly clinical reports covering presenting issues, risk trends, outcomes, and service-level themes.
  • Present clinical findings and recommendations during client review meetings.
  • Create and deliver clinical training and framework guidance for non-clinical client staff, while supporting training for internal clinicians and rangers.
  • Work with helpline operations, care excellence, clinicians, and network partnerships, escalating service-quality issues to internal stakeholders.

Talablar

  • Current registration as a clinical psychologist or qualification as a counsellor, with registration in your jurisdiction.
  • A master’s degree in clinical psychology, counselling, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of clinical case management experience, ideally in EAP, corporate wellbeing, or high-acuity mental health.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex, high-risk cases from assessment through closure, including decision-making responsibility rather than an advisory role.
  • Experience with structured return-to-work, fitness-for-work, or occupational mental health processes.
  • Experience contributing to clinical protocols, risk frameworks, or standard operating procedures while working within strict guidelines.
  • Experience managing stakeholders in a corporate or large-organisation client-facing environment.
  • Located in Australia with the right to work. Perth or another AWST location is strongly preferred; other states are considered only if 07:00 to 19:00 AWST hours can be reliably worked.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain clinical concepts to non-clinical stakeholders and produce client-ready clinical documentation in English.
  • AHPRA registration is desirable.
  • Knowledge of fly-in fly-out and mining culture, including the demands of remote, high-risk work environments, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Australian psychosocial risk and work health and safety obligations is desirable.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across internal clinicians, external partners, HR, and client contacts is desirable.
