Technical Consultant, SFTP Integrations (EdSights, Remote)

Technical Consultant responsible for configuring SFTP integrations and customer data exports at EdSights, an AI-powered student success platform for higher education. The role combines technical project leadership, data-quality troubleshooting, and scalable integration process development.

Descriere

  • Own customer integration configuration from requirements discovery and technical assessment through setup, testing, and delivery
  • Partner with customer IT teams and EdSights Implementation or Partner Success leads across the customer lifecycle
  • Provide ongoing technical ownership and support for customer integrations
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and update configurations as customer needs change
  • Configure, support, and maintain SFTP-based data imports and exports
  • Verify that files are properly formatted, securely transferred, and reliably processed
  • Transition legacy partners from manual uploads to automated SFTP integrations
  • Assess existing environments, define technical scope, and manage transitions through go-live
  • Review incoming customer data for accuracy, completeness, and consistent formatting
  • Identify root causes of data-quality problems and integration failures
  • Work with Engineering and Product to configure and maintain customer exports for platforms including Starfish, Navigate, and Salesforce
  • Manage integration and export projects across plans, schedules, dependencies, stakeholders, risks, blockers, and action items
  • Lead technical setup meetings with defined objectives and agendas
  • Communicate integration progress, risks, and issues affecting customers
  • Build knowledge of customer platforms and technology stacks, then advise on data mapping, field usage, integration design, and export structures
  • Create and improve integration processes and documentation, including playbooks, SOPs, configurations, file formats, schedules, and customer-specific requirements

Cerințe

  • At least five years of experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a comparable customer-facing technical role
  • Experience in SaaS or EdTech is preferred
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple concurrent technical or integration projects from discovery through delivery
  • Experience creating project plans, managing schedules and dependencies, leading customer meetings, coordinating stakeholders, escalating risks and blockers, and completing action items
  • Familiarity with Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or comparable project management tools
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving ability
  • Clear communication skills and strong technical judgment
  • Experience analyzing, mapping, validating, and troubleshooting structured data files such as CSV or flat files across systems
  • Strong knowledge of data integrations and secure file transfer, including SFTP workflows, naming conventions, scheduled exchanges, and system-to-system data flows
  • Extensive SFTP integration experience and working knowledge of SQL are strongly preferred
  • Experience creating and maintaining playbooks, SOPs, or internal documentation in Notion, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Implementation, Product, Engineering, and Partner Success teams
  • Experience with higher education systems or student success platforms is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and apply mature judgment
  • Proactive self-starter with strong initiative and practical problem-solving instincts
  • Comfort building processes, structure, and capabilities within an evolving function
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Must indicate whether United States employment visa sponsorship will be required
  • Professional experience configuring or troubleshooting SFTP-based file transfers is required
