Senior Technical Animator, Unreal Engine — Behaviour Interactive (Montreal Hybrid)
Behaviour Interactive is hiring a Senior Technical Animator to integrate character rigs and animation systems in Unreal Engine. The role supports realistic characters for an unannounced AAA sci-fi FPS project in Montreal.
Descriere
- Lead animation and character integration in Unreal Engine
- Build and maintain rigs for bipedal, non-bipedal, and mechanical characters
- Help define and establish pipelines from digital content creation tools to the engine
- Implement and maintain in-engine animation systems with animators and programmers
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve animation issues across in-game systems
- Optimize character rigs for efficiency, scalability, and real-time engine performance
- Document technical workflows and knowledge for animation and programming teams
- Shape character visual identity and translate concepts into a AAA sci-fi FPS project
Cerințe
- At least six years of animation experience in the video game industry
- Advanced technical proficiency in rigging and skinning
- Solid understanding of animation principles
- Expertise with Blender, Maya, and Unreal Engine
- Experience with Motion Matching, State Machines, Blend Spaces, Behavior Trees, and State Trees
- Knowledge of Unreal Control Rig and its real-time applications for procedural animation is an advantage
- Experience with MEL, Python, or Mgear is an asset
