Senior People Operations Manager - Sydney Hybrid

Apraksts

  • Manage payroll from start to finish across four entities
  • Oversee payroll deadlines and process new hires, departures, and position changes
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers, resolving issues before the following payroll run
  • Deliver onboarding for every new employee, including laptop and equipment provisioning and complete first-day access
  • Manage offboarding by recovering equipment, removing access, and coordinating final pay
  • Keep performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation reviews, and leveling calibrations on schedule
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and reporting
  • Create and maintain documentation for People processes
  • Find repetitive manual work and automate it
  • Review and update HR policies across all regions
  • Coordinate company on-sites and People initiatives
  • Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliations
  • Guide managers through performance management and employee relations processes
  • Develop People Operations processes that can scale with company growth

Prasības

  • Working knowledge of employment compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated ability to build and document processes that support growth
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly for payroll and compliance work
  • Comfort partnering with Finance on reconciliations
  • Clear written communication and sound judgment about when to escalate
  • Ability to balance competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Experience in a fast-growing technology company or scale-up is desirable
  • Practical experience with AI or automation tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, or Make is desirable
  • Experience with BambooHR, Rippling, Deel, or comparable platforms is desirable
  • Exposure to construction, field services, or distributed workforces is desirable
  • Experience overseeing People systems vendors is desirable
  • Experience advising managers on performance management and employee relations is desirable
  • Experience administering statutory and extended leave, including payroll implications, is desirable
  • Experience with Rippling or a comparable global HRIS is desirable
  • Experience using HRIS platforms
  • Experience with payroll systems spanning multiple countries
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
  • Experience using Atlassian tools
  • Experience using Slack
  • Experience with spreadsheet tools for reconciliation and reporting
  • Experience with documentation and knowledge management platforms
