Global Director, Dealer Technical Support and Field Service Engineering

Apraksts

  • Set the strategy and drive performance and modernization for Ford’s global Hotline/TSO and Field Service Engineering operations.
  • Build a closed-loop process for learning from unresolved, hard-to-diagnose vehicle issues, working with CIDR, Diagnostics, Skill Teams, Product Development, Quality, Design for Service, Service Engineering, Programs, and Manufacturing.
  • Turn field problems into verified knowledge, corrective actions, and technical guidance that teams can reuse.
  • Analyze field, case, vehicle, warranty, connected-vehicle, and market data to understand dealers’ and technicians’ current and future needs.
  • Prioritize work across powertrain, electrical and electronic systems, software and connectivity, chassis, climate, body, and interior according to trends, frequency, complexity, and business impact.
  • Apply demand insights to workforce planning, training, diagnostic content, tooling, and technical support strategy.
  • Use field learnings to strengthen Design for Service standards and shape future vehicle serviceability, diagnostics, repairability, data availability, and technician readiness.
  • Ensure verified repair results inform upstream diagnostics and AI-enabled Technical Support/TAS capabilities under appropriate governance.
  • Make Diagnostic Accuracy an enterprise measure, setting its targets and overseeing reporting and ongoing improvement.
  • Account for enterprise performance in Diagnostic Accuracy, FIRFT, Repair Order Duration, and the overall dealer and customer experience.
  • Align global Hotline and FSE processes, escalation paths, knowledge management, and performance indicators while allowing regional flexibility.
  • Move technical support from a reactive model toward predictive, proactive service enablement.
  • Anticipate repair needs, parts requirements, and technician readiness before vehicles reach dealerships.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 10 years in a supervisory or management role, with a record of leading, coaching, and developing talent across operational and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across domestic and global organizations at every leadership level.
  • Strategic judgment and the ability to turn enterprise strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with a record of advancing continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to align multidisciplinary, global stakeholders.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Experience in automotive technical support, field service engineering, vehicle diagnostics, dealer operations, or aftersales service.
  • Experience leading global operations, organizational transformation, or cross-functional process standardization.
  • Experience applying operational, vehicle, warranty, or connected-vehicle data to business decisions and better service outcomes.
