Financial Administrator I, Retail Alternative Funds

Prepare regulatory filings, financial statements, budgets, and fee calculations for Ultimus Fund Solutions’ retail alternative investment clients. Reconcile fund data and support compliance reporting.

Aprašymas

  • Prepare complex financial statements and securities reports, including Forms N-Q, 10-K, 10-Q, N-23C-2, NSAR, N-CSR, N-CEN, N-PX, and 24f-2.
  • Assemble quarterly reporting materials for board members.
  • Prepare and validate client accounts, financial statements, audit deliverables, accruals, tax packages, and investor reports.
  • Analyze and reconcile investment activity and financial data, including cash, expenses, income, gains, and withholding.
  • Track fund performance and share performance information with clients.
  • Train and guide junior associates and conduct preliminary reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain fund budgets, including advisor reimbursements and waivers.
  • Calculate monthly management fees and secure the required approvals.
  • Process fund expenses, including management and 12b-1 fees.
  • Check that SEC filings and related disclosures follow applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain policy and procedure documentation in line with authoritative accounting guidance.
  • Act as a first-level escalation contact and resolve issues.
  • Work with rating agencies by sharing portfolio holdings, completing surveys, and providing fund information.
  • Stay in daily contact with the Financial Administration team about financial statements, reports, and compliance.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as required.

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and performance systems.
  • Knowledge of retail alternative investment products, including interval funds, tender offer funds, BDCs, REITs, and 34 Act private funds.
  • Knowledge of stocks, bonds, options, foreign securities, and derivatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multitask, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
