Senior Payroll Manager, Europe | myPOS (Hybrid, France)
Lead compliant, multi-country payroll operations across Europe for myPOS, a fintech focused on business payments. Own payroll governance, systems, vendors, controls and team leadership.

- Manage end-to-end payroll across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland, with potential coverage of Bulgaria
- Serve as the final escalation point for payroll failures, compliance exposure and regulatory concerns
- Deliver accurate, timely payroll that meets local labor law, tax and statutory obligations
- Oversee payroll onboarding and accurate employee setup in Deel
- Manage statutory registrations and deregistrations with tax, social security and other authorities
- Ensure employment changes are recorded accurately and promptly in Deel and connected systems
- Partner with HR Operations and Deel to keep payroll data complete, consistent and compliant
- Stabilize global payroll delivery through Deel and finish outstanding country migrations
- Improve payroll processes, calendars, controls and handoffs across HR, Finance and Deel
- Maintain global payroll governance, RACI frameworks, audit-ready records and approval controls
- Improve data quality and integrations across Deel, HRIS, finance, commission and benefits platforms
- Manage vendor governance, SLAs, issue resolution and root-cause analysis with Deel
- Work with Finance, Accounting and Tax on payroll tax treatment, statutory filings and cross-border or variable-pay matters
- Act as the main payroll contact for Finance, HR, Country Managers and senior leadership
- Produce payroll reporting for monthly close, accruals, budgeting, forecasting and audits
- Identify and reduce regulatory and financial risks related to payroll
- Support benefits governance and accurate benefits-related payroll processing
- Maintain payroll standard operating procedures and process documentation
- Lead, develop and coach the payroll team
Талаптар
- 10+ years of payroll experience, including substantial international, multi-country exposure and several years leading teams
- Demonstrated experience running payroll across multiple European jurisdictions
- Experience with Italy, France and Germany is highly advantageous
- Experience with Bulgaria is beneficial
- Strong understanding of payroll tax, statutory compliance and labor-law interactions
- Knowledge of statutory registration requirements for new hires and leavers
- Experience managing commission-heavy or variable-pay structures
- Experience using global payroll platforms; Deel experience is strongly preferred
- Track record of stabilizing and optimizing payroll after a system implementation
- Experience creating, implementing and maintaining payroll governance, controls and approval frameworks
- Experience in regulated, high-risk sectors such as fintech, financial services or payments is highly advantageous
- Confidence operating with senior leaders and challenging stakeholders when payroll controls or compliance are at risk
- Ownership-driven, accountable and risk-aware, with a structured, detail-focused and audit-oriented approach
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Additional European language skills are highly advantageous
