Remote Engineering Manager in Serbia
Lead a cross-functional engineering team at Social Discovery Group, guiding feature delivery from requirements through release. The role combines Agile team leadership, technical decision-making, and service reliability.

- Lead a cross-functional team of 7–10 backend, frontend, QA, and AQA engineers.
- Manage feature delivery from requirements through release.
- Coordinate development practices, including sprint planning, estimation, task breakdown, and readiness and completion criteria.
- Contribute to feature design and technical decisions.
- Maintain service reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident reviews, and postmortems.
- Work with the Product Manager to prioritize the backlog.

- At least three years of commercial development experience with .NET, Java, or Python.
- At least one year of experience leading a cross-functional team.
- Understanding of microservice architecture and REST or gRPC, plus RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience with observability practices such as logging, metrics, and tracing, using ELK, Grafana, DataDog, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- React frontend architecture and React Native mobile development knowledge are desirable.
- Knowledge of QA processes and test automation is desirable.
