Manage customer operations for Limber, a UK hospitality-shift marketplace, covering support, worker verification, payroll, onboarding and issue resolution. Fixed-term remote maternity cover based in South Africa.

- Oversee the Intercom support inbox for workers, hirers and new enquiries
- Resolve worker issues involving verification, cancellations, ratings and timesheet disputes
- Resolve hirer issues involving timesheet corrections, no-show charges and worker feedback
- Apply established processes and saved responses while using sound judgement for exceptions
- Escalate HR, health and safety, legal and commercial matters to the founder
- Log software bugs with the CTO and track them through to resolution
- Identify and resolve urgent issues that could prevent shifts from going live
- Maintain an average response time of approximately three working hours and answer non-urgent queries within 24 hours
- Review worker applications manually and approve, limit to entry-level roles or decline applicants
- Manage right-to-work administration when automatic verification is unsuccessful
- Complete payroll uploads, checks and system workflows as Limber transitions from Paycircle to PayCaptain
- Process scanned correspondence, including earnings-order attachments
- Assist with monthly management accounts and bookkeeping, including bad-debt tracking
- Resolve failed payment issues
- Provide administrative support for enterprise-customer onboarding and additional site setup
- Report to the founder and own customer operations throughout the 12-month maternity cover
- Complete one weekend triage check-in, with equivalent time returned during the following week

- Several years of professional experience demonstrating reliable ownership of complex, loosely structured work
- Mature, self-directed and comfortable delivering against outcomes with limited supervision
- Fast-moving and able to judge when precision is essential versus when timely completion is preferable
- Experience in a busy, detail-oriented operational environment
- Relevant experience may include customer service, logistics, payroll, HR or operations coordination; marketplace or hospitality experience is not required
- Strong written English and a naturally friendly communication style
- Trustworthy and discreet when handling financial systems and sensitive complaints
- Comfortable switching efficiently between multiple software tools
- Takes responsibility for mistakes and surfaces problems early
- Driven by execution and problem-solving rather than job title or visibility
- Genuinely interested in a fixed 12-month appointment
- Available to work UK business hours, Monday to Friday
- Based in South Africa
- Available for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover beginning January 2027
