Third-Line Windows Infrastructure Analyst (Onsite, UK)

Provide advanced support for secure Windows infrastructure serving Computacenter’s enterprise customers onsite in Hatfield or Derby. Resolve complex incidents, contribute to infrastructure projects, and improve managed service performance.

Description

  • Deliver expert third-line support across enterprise Windows environments
  • Diagnose and resolve complex incidents and problems while addressing both immediate faults and lasting improvements
  • Design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions across Windows platforms
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technical change initiatives
  • Prioritize workloads in line with agreed SLAs and operational requirements
  • Develop effective working relationships with customers, project teams, and technical stakeholders
  • Assess services and recommend improvements to reliability, performance, and user experience
  • Keep technical documentation current and share knowledge across the wider team
  • Take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota
  • Assist with restoring critical services when required
  • Collaborate with infrastructure specialists in a security-focused environment supporting a highly secure, enterprise-scale customer service

Requirements

  • Hold SC clearance, or be willing and eligible to obtain it
  • Have third-line experience in a managed services environment
  • Have experience supporting complex enterprise environments
  • Have experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Have experience working with Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Have experience with Azure AD technologies, including Azure AD Connect, ADFS, and Single Sign-On
  • Understand core Windows infrastructure technologies, including failover clustering
  • Have experience with VMware and virtualization platforms
  • Have experience with Exchange and Microsoft collaboration technologies
  • Have experience with SCCM, endpoint management, and software deployment technologies
  • Have experience with PKI, certificate management, and identity management solutions
  • Bring experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Understand infrastructure monitoring, security, and endpoint protection technologies
  • Understand networking fundamentals, including routing, firewalls, LAN, and WAN technologies
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Make sound technical decisions and work effectively with limited supervision
  • Communicate clearly and maintain a customer-first approach
  • Be willing to learn new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
