Description
- Create Vega’s financial planning and analysis function from the ground up
- Work with Sales and Marketing leaders on pipeline coverage, quota plans, staffing, and spending
- Own the revenue forecast and link it to go-to-market activity
- Assess unit economics, including customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, payback, and margins by segment
- Guide financial analysis for pricing and packaging decisions
- Develop and manage the operating model for revenue, staffing, and expenses
- Develop and update fundraising models and assist with investor due diligence
- Manage the annual budget and ongoing forecasts
- Track cash runway and plan for different scenarios
- Prepare board materials and the financial narrative behind them
- Set up monthly reporting, variance reviews, and department budget reviews
- Hire and manage an FP&A team after about one year
Requirements
- At least eight years in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking followed by an operating role
- Startup experience building FP&A foundations at an early or growth-stage company
- Fluency in SaaS metrics and unit economics
- Demonstrated partnership with go-to-market teams
- Experience developing fundraising models and board materials
- Expert-level financial modeling skills
- Ability to work independently and eventually manage a team
- Ability to turn financial analysis into business decisions
