Regional Sales Manager, Metal Building Products (Canada)

Lead Robertson sales teams across Canada and the United States for Cornerstone Building Brands’ metal-building business. Own growth, pricing, customer experience, performance analytics, and M&A integration.

Description

  • Lead sales professionals in the Metal Solutions business serving Robertson customers across Canada and the United States
  • Expand market share across complex metal buildings, simple metal buildings, and commercial components
  • Coordinate with support functions to deliver a consistent customer-experience value proposition
  • Partner with Sales, Estimating, Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, Procurement, Sales Operations, Vendor Relations, and executive leadership
  • Coach, develop, train, and grow a professional Robertson sales organization
  • Create and implement sales strategies, advise target customers, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate products, equipment, or services
  • Manage sales schedules, territories, and performance
  • Work with business leaders in Canada and the United States while maintaining a close relationship with the Canadian segment President
  • Implement pricing strategy with the pricing team and achieve profitability goals while supporting volume growth
  • Build, maintain, and interpret sales scorecards and KPIs covering backlog, bidding, product mix, profit, revenue, win/loss rates, and lead conversion
  • Prepare and present insights for Monthly Operating Reviews and other business presentations
  • Collaborate with the plant network to improve customer experience and increase volume and revenue
  • Evaluate operational constraints, resource requirements, and opportunities for growth
  • Work with the VP of Sales to evaluate M&A prospects and formulate integration plans
  • Partner with Marketing on local-market branding and product placement across digital properties
  • Lead integration efforts and act as a culture carrier through major M&A activity
  • Represent the company at relevant industry organizations, trade associations, and trade shows
  • Coordinate with Field Services, plants, and branches to resolve customer quality concerns and address underlying causes
  • Complete other assigned activities and projects

Requirements

  • Data-driven critical thinker who can manage multiple data streams, respond to near-term market conditions, and build longer-term strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership, influence, and collaboration in a matrixed organization
  • Strong knowledge of sales and the economic drivers of building materials
  • Comfort with direct, challenging, and productive professional conversations
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to spend time at the Robertson office in Brantford, Ontario
  • Self-directed approach with a strong sense of urgency and care
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • CRM experience; Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • Advanced ability to build and interpret analytics models
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently without compromising quality
  • High level of accountability to multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to simplify complex subjects and influence decisions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Results-focused leader able to mentor and guide a high-performing team
  • At least 10 years of sales experience, including 5 or more years in sales leadership or general management; building-products experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Executive presence, confidence, and assertiveness when taking action and presenting ideas
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to drive and influence organizational and cross-functional change
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute promptly
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to explain pricing concepts and data clearly
