Product Service Engineer

At Caterpillar, investigate engine and equipment integration problems, guide root-cause analysis, and help improve product serviceability. The role supports customer and dealer issues across the 0.5L–18L engine range.

Description

  • Diagnose complex engine and integration problems to support customer satisfaction.
  • Guide the assessment and technical handling of dealer and customer issues.
  • Represent customer and dealer concerns to internal engineering teams.
  • Assess product health data for IPSD’s 0.5L–18L engine range.
  • Examine newly identified and emerging issues, prepare storyboards, and share findings with product organizations.
  • Oversee hardware, software, and performance failures.
  • Set escalation priorities, collect data, contribute to root-cause investigations, and resolve customer problems across teams.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and communicate corrective measures.
  • Improve product repair, maintenance, and serviceability.
  • Write technical specifications and service publications that explain product improvements.
  • Coach colleagues to build their technical skills.
