Lead HR Business Partner - Computacenter, Hatfield UK
Lead international HR strategy, transformation, and team development for Computacenter’s managed services business. Advise executive leaders and shape people priorities across a complex technology services environment.
Description
- Partner with executive stakeholders to develop and execute people strategies that support performance, transformation, and sustainable growth.
- Serve as a trusted HR adviser to senior executive leaders.
- Build relationships across international business units and guide commercially sound people decisions.
- Apply coaching and facilitation techniques to support practical decisions and solutions.
- Offer constructive challenge and feedback to business stakeholders and HR colleagues.
- Work with the HR Leadership Team to maintain consistent standards, embed best practices, and deliver complex projects.
- Set priorities that advance Computacenter’s strategic goals.
- Delegate operational responsibilities while guiding and empowering the global HR team.
- Assess the people implications of change, risk, synergies, consolidation, and offshore or nearshore options.
- Create and implement people plans connected to business strategy and priorities.
- Use workforce data and insight to guide decisions and evaluate outcomes.
- Direct global programmes from initial planning through completion.
- Lead and develop HR Business Partners and HR Managers.
- Coach direct reports and members of virtual teams.
- Build team capability and identify potential successors.
- Set performance objectives and lead development discussions.
- Support ongoing improvement across the HR function.
- Engage HR at an early stage of transformation initiatives.
- Own the HR workstream for complex organisational change programmes.
- Advise leaders on operating model choices, including offshoring, rightsizing, investment, and acquisitions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior HR leadership experience, such as an HR Director or equivalent, within IT, technology, or technology-enabled services.
- Experience in managed services or another complex, service-led organisation is advantageous.
- Substantial international HR experience is essential.
- Cultural awareness and stakeholder management capability across countries and business units.
- Strong commercial understanding and business acumen.
- Ability to interpret business strategy and convert it into focused people priorities.
- Confidence advising senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions constructively, and offering practical guidance.
- Ability to apply data, insight, and external perspectives to guide decisions and show impact.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing HR teams in global or matrix organisations.
- Strong capability in change management, transformation, and programme delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to build trust, clarify complexity, and engage people at every level.
