Human Resources Generalist – Canada Remote

Support employee relations, compliance, lifecycle processes, and HR programs while advising leaders at Postmedia Solutions. This remote role is based in Canada.

Description

  • Serve as the first contact for colleagues and leaders with people and program questions.
  • Apply HR policies and programs in line with provincial and federal laws, company policy, and collective agreements.
  • Use Dayforce for employee lifecycle processes, reporting, and analytics.
  • Advise managers on HR practices, processes, and compliance.
  • Coordinate disability claims, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
  • Support participation in and compliance with health and safety programs.
  • Help improve and automate HR processes.
  • Maintain employee documents, HRIS data accuracy, and records.
  • Work with the HR team on strategic projects and back up HR Administration.
  • Take on other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in human resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to four years of HR experience, including exposure to talent acquisition, talent or disability management, labour relations, or HR operations in a national organization.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms; Dayforce HCM experience is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present information professionally to colleagues and leaders.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with close attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information ethically and professionally.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and other computer tools.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • English-French bilingualism is an asset.
