Director of Customer Marketing – Canada Remote

Lead customer advocacy, lifecycle marketing, and community programs for an AI-powered risk detection platform. Drive engagement, referrals, product adoption, and expansion revenue among global security and risk teams.

Description

  • Lead customer engagement and advocacy initiatives for samdesk’s global security and risk customer base.
  • Create a champion community that supports expansion, referrals, and net dollar retention.
  • Own the customer marketing function and represent customer perspectives within the broader marketing strategy.
  • Develop strategies, campaigns, programs, and community initiatives that increase customer value and adoption of products and use cases.
  • Strengthen customer relationships through campaigns and valuable communications that support renewals, referrals, and expansion.
  • Scale engagement programs covering product training, company news, ROI tools, and use cases.
  • Create customer communications and community initiatives such as newsletters, webinars, events, an advisory board, and a customer summit.
  • Establish lifecycle marketing across onboarding, adoption, maturity, expansion, and advocacy stages.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success on campaigns for new capabilities, products, and use cases.
  • Lead advocacy and reference programs involving customer stories, testimonials, peer references, event speakers, and referrals.
  • Establish a customer intelligence program to collect and distribute feedback and recurring themes.
  • Own the Voice of Customer program, including NPS and customer satisfaction measurement.
  • Work with Customer Success and Account Management on targeted engagement initiatives.
  • Create segmentation and engagement strategies based on lifecycle stage, products, use cases, maturity, and expansion opportunities.
  • Report to the CMO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in customer marketing, customer success, or customer service.
  • Experience developing and implementing customer loyalty or advocacy programs.
  • Experience marketing to enterprise or B2B technology, SaaS, or security customers is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing tools and channels, including CRM, loyalty and referral, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience creating and delivering campaigns and programs that increase customer engagement, advocacy, and expansion revenue.
  • Ability to turn customer insights into compelling campaigns, stories, and programs.
  • Strong commitment to understanding and serving customers in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute hands-on.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build an impactful customer marketing program.
  • Adaptable, self-directed, and proactive in taking ownership and resolving challenges.
  • Comfort working autonomously with a geographically distributed team.
  • Legally able to travel within Canada, the United States, and internationally as needed.
