Senior Compliance Analyst, AML Program Assessment – Kuala Lumpur Hybrid

Citi is seeking a senior compliance analyst to assess correspondent banking controls, KYC, and high-risk transactions within its AML programs. The role prepares client AML assessments and escalates compliance risks in a hybrid Kuala Lumpur position.

  • Evaluate FCB and PI AML program controls, identifying weaknesses or concerns that could expose Citi to unacceptable AML risk.
  • Complete and review Periodic Transaction Reports.
  • Detect unusual activity and potential suspicious red flags.
  • Verify and assess negative media findings.
  • Analyze flows involving high-risk activity.
  • Manage AML assessments end to end, including client communication and follow-up.
  • Collect necessary information from internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare written evaluations of client AML programs and escalate issues when required.
  • Support ad hoc initiatives to improve processes.
  • Evaluate risk in business decisions while protecting Citi, its clients, and its assets.
  • Promote compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Follow established policies and exercise sound ethical judgment.
  • Escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Broad knowledge of key AML and reputational risks, including PEPs, sanctions, and A B&C.
  • Knowledge of cash management products and correspondent banking.
  • Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders concurrently.
  • Strong judgment and assessment capabilities.
  • Risk-based research and issue-identification skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building abilities.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Advanced English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree.
  • ACAMS certification is an advantage.
  • Experience conducting transaction-based KYC reviews is an advantage.
  • Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
