Customer Service Representative – Insurance

Apraksts

  • Answer incoming calls in a busy call center.
  • Build relationships with clients and agents.
  • Process payments and complex service requests.
  • Resolve calls by answering questions, researching issues, and starting additional processes when needed.
  • Handle billing requests, including account number and payment type changes, refunds, premium payment histories, value quotes, forms, policy reprojections, taxable gain calculations, policy conservation, and mailing Electronic Funds Transfer forms.
  • Process manual premium payments and other service requests by check or phone using a checking or savings account.
  • Process loan requests by phone.
  • Respond to inquiries submitted through the SML website.
  • Handle inquiries forwarded by Corporate Communications from the public website.
  • Complete insurance verifications and policy summary requests.
  • Make follow-up calls to request missing items and funds needed to bring policies up to date.
  • Record customer interactions and transactions.

Prasības

  • At least 3 years of customer service experience.
  • At least 1 year of accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in insurance or a call center.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and occasional overtime.
  • Associate degree in business or a related field.
  • Visa sponsorship is unavailable for this position.
  • Relocation assistance is unavailable for this position.
