Wealth Relationship Manager – San Jose Onsite

Manage relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients for Citi’s private banking business. Deliver financial planning, investment, credit, and banking solutions through San Jose-area branches.

Description

  • Build and expand relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients to increase portfolio share
  • Use financial planning, discovery, and client profiling to uncover needs
  • Anticipate complex financial needs and recommend relevant products, services, and tools
  • Deliver comprehensive financial solutions in partnership with product specialists
  • Maintain high-touch, face-to-face client engagement and consistent communication
  • Develop referral opportunities to grow the client portfolio
  • Source, acquire, and expand valuable customer relationships
  • Refer qualified opportunities to Lending Consultants, Financial Advisors, Small Business Partners, and Relationship Managers
  • Coordinate client events that strengthen relationships
  • Convert referral leads into new client relationships
  • Manage client follow-up while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complete KYC/AML and other required compliance procedures
  • Work with branch team members to create positive in-branch client experiences
  • Evaluate business risks and protect the firm’s reputation, clients, and assets
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies
  • Use sound ethical judgment and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues
  • Coach and train new team members
  • Take on formal or informal leadership responsibilities within the team

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience
  • Strong analytical and financial capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience with Money Guide Pro, NaviPlan Select, or comparable financial planning software preferred
  • Basic knowledge of investment and financial planning strategies preferred
  • Self-directed, solutions-oriented, goal-focused team player who can work independently
  • Current US FINRA registration required: SIE, Series 6, 63, and 65, or Series 7 and 66, or equivalent
  • Complete all US FINRA registration requirements within 150 days of starting
  • Insurance Group 1 certification required, with all requirements completed within 150 days of starting
  • Register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtain a unique identifier before referring clients to Citibank for mortgage services
  • Maintain and renew mortgage loan originator registration annually and update registration information promptly
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience
