Technical Support Technician

Monitor Consort Group clients’ IT infrastructure and services, providing first-line support and initial incident resolution. The role covers alert analysis, routine operations, and incident tracking through closure.

Description

  • Monitor client IT infrastructure in real time, including servers, networks, applications, databases, and backups.
  • Review alerts produced by monitoring tools.
  • Identify anomalies, assess and classify incidents, and take appropriate action or initiate on-call procedures.
  • Complete scheduled tasks such as batch processing, reruns, integrity checks, and backup verification.
  • Handle routine operations, including restarts, basic deployments, and supervised production releases.
  • Record actions in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, GLPI, and EasyVista.
  • Provide first-line support to users.
  • Diagnose incidents and follow the applicable resolution procedures.
  • Escalate issues to specialist teams when needed.
  • Track incidents through to resolution.

Requirements

  • Experience in comparable helpdesk or monitoring environments; junior candidates are also welcome.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network architectures.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Centreon, Zabbix, or Nagios.
  • French language skills for working in a French-speaking environment.
