Endeavors is a San Antonio–based nonprofit providing crisis and community services for people facing hardship. Its work includes mental health and wellness care, disaster response, temporary shelter, case management, permanent supportive housing, and veteran-focused care through the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics. Across Texas, Endeavors also mobilizes volunteers and raises funds for disaster recovery, homelessness prevention, housing, and related social services.

Remote Financial Analyst – Texas

Manage budgets, forecasts, and grant funding at Endeavors, a social services organization. Provide senior leaders and program directors with financial reporting and recommendations.

Description

  • Prepare and document complex financial analyses.
  • Develop and coordinate complex budgets and budget processes.
  • Provide senior management with variance analysis, financial models, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate program budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Train and support budget participants.
  • Communicate with management and analyze financial data.
  • Monitor program budgets, spending, and variances.
  • Assess trends and support forecasts and funding needs.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Review program efficiency and track grant allocations and spending.
  • Recommend program decisions and budget allocations.
  • Produce revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
  • Prepare annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
  • Support grant application and annual program budgets.
  • Advise Program Directors on budget management.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze reports, ensuring financial records are accurate.
  • Promote collaboration across departments and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Deliver customer service to children, families, Veterans, and other clients.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office products.
  • With a bachelor’s degree, four years of experience in financial analysis, including budget coordination, strategic planning, business analysis, or related work.
  • With a master’s degree, two years of related experience.
  • Regular and acceptable attendance.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clear record.
  • Ability to use a vehicle daily without prior notice.
  • Availability and willingness to travel to various locations as business needs require.
  • Preferred: Experience with the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE).
  • Preferred: Previous employment in nonprofit or social services.
