Systems Engineer II – Remote in the Philippines

Remote Systems Engineer II role supporting endpoint engineering, Microsoft 365 administration, and identity lifecycle operations in the Philippines. The position focuses on secure end-user computing, ITSM support, and regulated-system processes.

Description

  • Provide 8x5 remote coverage with morning overlap into US business hours for endpoint engineering, Microsoft 365 administration, and identity lifecycle operations
  • Resolve Level 2 issues remotely, including complex operating system and application troubleshooting, endpoint policy enforcement, and MDM configuration
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, including licensing support and reconciliation
  • Manage user, group, and access provisioning in AD and Entra ID as part of joiner-mover-leaver identity workflows
  • Monitor ITSM alerts and support VDI operations, patch management, and endpoint security compliance
  • Keep CMDB records and asset lifecycle data accurate for remotely managed systems
  • Support automation efforts designed to reduce repetitive manual engineering work
  • Maintain and enhance documentation and knowledge base standards
  • Escalate issues requiring hands-on or deskside support to onsite L2 or Tier 1 teams with complete diagnostic context
  • Handle Tier 1 escalations and lead problem management for tickets that remain remotely unresolved
  • Apply and enforce best practices for system security, endpoint policy, and data backups
  • Identify potential issues or bottlenecks in advance and recommend possible solutions
  • Coordinate with onsite engineers, IT support teams, and shared-services or foundation counterparts to ensure effective handoffs
  • Work with vendors and keep stakeholders informed of relevant developments
  • Support GxP-aware change control and documentation practices for regulated systems
  • Complete other assigned duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university plus 2 to 5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with endpoint management, Microsoft 365 administration, and identity platforms such as AD and Entra ID
  • Knowledge of system requirements definition and traceability
  • Experience implementing methods for verifying system requirements
  • Experience planning system testing activities
  • Strong presentation and organizational abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform engineering problem-solving and analytical work
  • Ability to meet project deadlines while working within cost and schedule constraints
  • Availability for a shift overlapping US business hours
  • Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships
  • Ability to use judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Ability to perform office duties that may involve prolonged sitting or standing
  • Ability to move around an office environment
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Ability to communicate effectively
