Customer Operations Manager, EMEA and APAC

Lead order management and customer service for Pentland Brands’ global sports and lifestyle brands. Improve delivery reliability, orderbook health and operational performance across EMEA and APAC.

Description

  • Oversee the Customer Operations team’s daily performance.
  • Account for on-time, in-full delivery results across the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Manage the orderbook by reviewing open and overdue orders, stock availability, allocations and delivery risks.
  • Partner with Commercial teams and customers to turn their needs into operational plans.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Distribution Centres and Finance to address operational issues.
  • Maintain consistent application of Customer Operations processes, policies and standards.
  • Manage, coach and develop the Customer Operations team.
  • Analyse operational data to spot trends, underlying causes and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Promote continuous improvement and the use of new tools, systems, automation and working practices.
  • Help shape the Customer Operations plan and regional priorities for EMEA and APAC.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in Customer Operations, Customer Service, Sales Operations or a related operational role.
  • A track record of managing and developing teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • A strong grasp of end-to-end order management, including orderbooks, stock allocation, delivery management and customer needs.
  • Experience managing relationships with major retailers, distributors or commercial partners.
  • A customer-focused approach and the judgement to balance customer needs with commercial and operational priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting large volumes of operational data.
  • Ability to find root causes, solve problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Technology teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging people at different organisational levels.
  • Familiarity with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
  • Experience with Customer Operations tools, CRM platforms and reporting systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a geographically distributed, matrixed organisation.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and readiness to constructively question existing practices.
