Customer Advocate II - Kalamazoo, MI (Onsite)

Manage strategic customer accounts, order fulfillment, and logistics for Graphic Packaging International, a paperboard and paper-based packaging manufacturer. Coordinate with sales, planning, manufacturing, warehouse, and transportation teams to support reliable delivery and accurate invoicing.

Description

  • Own strategic account management with expertise, accountability, and sound judgment
  • Make daily tactical decisions to coordinate smooth order management across multiple accounts
  • Analyze root causes and proactively resolve customer service issues
  • Manage strategic international accounts
  • Deliver training and share knowledge to support on-time delivery and accurate invoicing
  • Use the Panther system to enter, track, and resolve orders
  • Keep the order book accurate by closing orders diligently and using reports effectively
  • Partner with supply planners to increase use of non-conforming products and limit inventory waste
  • Optimize order quantities and shipping methods for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate communication among Sales, Logistics, Planning, and Manufacturing
  • Develop strong customer relationships through proactive updates and responsive support
  • Contribute to teamwork, mutual respect, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, meeting participation, diplomacy, and respect for colleagues

Requirements

  • One to three years of progressive experience in customer service, supply chain, or logistics, preferably within manufacturing
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to resolve complex service issues
  • Experience with Panther or a comparable ERP system for order management, tracking, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic international customer accounts
  • Working knowledge of export documentation, Incoterms, and trade compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent business experience may be considered
  • Understanding of supply chain operations, including demand and supply planning, transportation, and warehousing
