Bilingual Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist

Description

  • Contact customers by phone about overdue balances and agreed payment commitments.
  • Manage collection activities and negotiate payment arrangements within company guidelines.
  • Listen actively and apply sound judgment to understand concerns and identify appropriate next steps.
  • Review payment information, account records, and customer questions in ERP and CRM systems.
  • Record customer interactions, commitments, follow-up actions, and other relevant details accurately.
  • Follow up on payment arrangements, customer commitments, and outstanding issues.
  • Refer complex concerns, disputed details, and matters outside standard procedures to the appropriate contact.
  • Communicate professionally, respectfully, and with a focus on resolving issues.
  • Safeguard customer and company information in line with confidentiality requirements and applicable policies.

Requirements

  • Fluent spoken and written French and English are required to communicate with contacts across Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and the United States.
  • Experience in high-volume accounts receivable collections, telemarketing, or a similar outbound-calling role.
  • Strong active listening, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
  • Energetic and resilient, with the ability to remain professional in demanding situations.
  • Driven to meet individual and team performance targets.
  • Open to coaching, feedback, and ongoing development.
  • Able to adjust to changes in processes, priorities, and systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate when documenting information.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, metrics-focused call centre is an asset.
