Associate Technical Support Engineer - Bangalore (Hybrid)

Support Red Hat online training, guided labs, and certification learners in Bangalore. Troubleshoot Linux-based learning environments as part of a global 24x5 support team.

Description

  • Deliver prompt technical support to employees and learners using Red Hat online training, guided labs, and certification resources.
  • Resolve incoming service requests and live-chat questions about the Red Hat Online Learning system.
  • Help students navigate the Red Hat Online Learning system, course materials, and guided lab exercises.
  • Create and maintain Virtual Trainings.
  • Implement hotfixes for course content and lab environments.
  • Partner with Red Hat training teams to resolve student-reported issues.
  • Support curriculum developers in building and deploying cloud images for training labs.
  • Release new and updated course content in the Red Hat Online Learning system.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing for lab content.
  • Participate in team and organizational meetings and discussions.
  • Build ongoing knowledge of Red Hat solutions.
  • Work assigned shifts in a global 24x5 support operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent enterprise IT experience.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • At least two years of experience in a customer-focused role.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones.
  • Command-line proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • An active RHCSA certification in Enterprise Linux, Ansible, or OpenShift, or Red Hat Certified Developer certification in Cloud Native Applications or AI.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work across multiple time zones in a global 24x5 support environment.
  • RHCE certification is an advantage.
  • Shell scripting experience is an advantage.
  • Basic Python knowledge.
