Email Marketing Lead, Principal Associate – Capital One (Chicago, Onsite)
Lead Capital One’s email marketing and CRM infrastructure for merchant reactivation across the United States and Canada. Own segmentation, automation, SQL, conversion-focused copywriting, and enterprise email platform operations.
Descriere
- Build automated, trigger-based email journeys connected to offline marketing activities such as telemarketing, website visits, and direct mail.
- Lead enterprise email service provider implementations and platform migrations.
- Translate marketing needs into clear requirements for engineering delivery.
- Develop custom SQL queries to create dynamic audience segments.
- Review and resolve issues in HTML/CSS templates and email copy.
- Measure campaign effectiveness through lower-funnel indicators including reactivation volume, Cost Per Reactivation, conversion rate, and funnel velocity.
- Oversee campaign quality assurance, cross-client rendering tests, dynamic-data validation, and regulatory compliance coordination.
- Partner with engineering, analytics, and marketing stakeholders.
- Drive an ongoing testing program informed by experimentation and growth objectives.
- Use direct-response copywriting and sales psychology to create email content that motivates customer action.
- Own the email channel while developing the CRM platform and marketing infrastructure from the ground up.
- Launch the email service provider environment in partnership with engineering, compliance, IT, and related teams.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive CRM program for merchants in the United States and Canada.
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- At least five years of marketing operations and CRM experience, including technical ownership of email service provider implementations and Salesforce data synchronization.
- At least four years of hands-on experience with Salesforce architecture, Pardot (Account Engagement), or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including CRM field definition and system integrations.
- At least four years of experience writing direct-response email copy.
- At least five years of experience assessing marketing performance with lower-funnel metrics such as reactivation volume, Cost Per Reactivation, and velocity.

- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or consumer behavior.
- Preferred: Strong project management, organizational, and detail-management abilities.
- Preferred: Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and working across functions.
- Preferred: At least one year of hands-on SQL query writing for database segmentation and HTML/CSS template troubleshooting.
- Preferred: Excellent communication skills with a consistent testing practice and a curious, growth-oriented approach.
- Preferred: Experience writing or reviewing direct-response call scripts, field briefs, and objection-handling materials.
- Preferred: Experience managing regulatory or legal compliance reviews for marketing operations.
- Preferred: At least two years of vendor management experience.
