Accountant and Bookkeeper
Handle QuickBooks close, payables, invoicing, and reporting for Mission Control’s project-based creative agency. This hybrid position supports operations across Pennsylvania and nearby East Coast states.
Descriere
- Manage daily accounting operations and support accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with monthly QuickBooks close, including journal entries and account and bank reconciliations.
- Process vendor and freelancer payables by reviewing, coding, routing for approval, and entering invoices.
- Review corporate card transactions, maintain supporting documents, allocate expenses, and assign general ledger classifications.
- Provide backup to the Finance Director for client invoicing in QuickBooks.
- Oversee company renewals, subscriptions, web hosting, and domain registrations.
- Keep the office’s physical accounting records complete and well organized.
- Build practical familiarity with the Workfront project management system.
- Track weekly Workfront timesheets, remind staff about submissions, follow up on overdue entries, and prepare late-submission reports.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities.
- Help uphold compliance and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Take part in special projects and analyses requested by Finance leadership.
- Stay informed about accounting practices, tools, and industry developments.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical and organizational abilities, with close attention to detail.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to take initiative and work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Able to uphold established processes while considering creative solutions.
- Experience in advertising, professional services, or project-based accounting.
- Experience in animal health, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
- Familiarity with project management or time-tracking software; Workfront is a plus.
- A solution-focused approach and interest in growing in the accounting field.
- Preference for candidates based in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Delaware.
- Availability to work East Coast business hours.
