Senior Product Designer, Health Insurance (Remote in South Carolina)
Senior Product Designer creating member experiences for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s health insurance portal and app. The role covers research, prototyping, usability testing, and digital product improvement.
Aprašymas
- Create clear, effective interfaces for mobile, tablet, and desktop products
- Develop and refine multiple design concepts through rapid prototyping
- Produce UI design documentation that communicates the intended experience
- Identify user needs and gather feedback from target audiences
- Conduct UX research and analyze task flows
- Turn research findings into practical recommendations and next steps
- Share user insights, data, and established practices with the team
- Use feedback and analytics to evaluate and improve design choices
- Partner with business and application development teams
- Represent user needs and study how audiences use applications
- Promote user experience standards and best practices
- Work with customers and internal partners to validate design concepts
- Maintain usability quality through documentation and ongoing support
- Act as a subject matter expert while defining standards, processes, and best practices
- Keep current with user-centered design methods, trends, and innovations
- Partner with the Digital Implementation Lead and Digital Experience team to convert customer needs, business objectives, and product strategy into digital solutions
- Contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from research and concept development through testing, prototyping, UI copywriting, developer support, and UI standards compliance
- Share expertise, strengthen UX maturity across the team, and help integrate AI tools into the workflow
- Focus primarily on the health insurance portal and app used by members nationwide
Reikalavimai
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, four years of related work experience, or an associate degree plus two years of related experience
- At least five years of user interface design experience
- Seven years of experience preferred
- At least two years designing transactional, consumer-facing products in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another complex regulated industry preferred
- Ability to partner with product owners and varied stakeholders to define complex requirements within legacy technology environments
- Experience producing polished Figma mockups and prototypes with responsive layouts, conditional states, documentation, and accessibility considerations
- Ability to mentor and conduct design reviews for other designers
- Experience conducting UX research and usability testing
- Ability to write UI copy focused on user needs
- Strong knowledge of UX and usability principles, practices, and methodologies
- Strong grasp of page layout and interface design principles
- Understanding of HTML and CSS and how to optimize designs for these technologies
- Understanding of graphic design and typography
- Advanced analytical and research abilities
- Ability to interpret data and develop recommendations
- Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with graphic design tools and Microsoft Office
- Availability to work Monday through Friday in eight-hour shifts during 8:00 AM–5:00 PM business hours
- Finalists must complete a brief, on-camera design exercise
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and business teams
