Supermicro Solution Engineer – Onsite in the Netherlands

Troubleshoot and repair Supermicro servers, storage, networking, GPU platforms, firmware, and Linux systems. Provide Level 3 partner support, preventive maintenance, training, and service-ticket resolution across the Netherlands.

Description

  • Carry out advanced onsite and remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs for Supermicro servers and systems.
  • Lead preventive maintenance activities while meeting SLA commitments and repair-cycle targets.
  • Act as the escalation contact for complex technical problems and drive efficient, professional resolution.
  • Deliver Level 3 support to channel partners, including resellers and distributors.
  • Support enterprise environments involving GPU systems, networking, firmware and BIOS, and cable management.
  • Work with TAMs, Service Managers, and Product Managers to develop service programs.
  • Train service engineers and customers on hardware and support procedures.
  • Run lab simulations and tests to reproduce and resolve issues reported from the field.
  • Administer service tickets through Supermicro’s Service Portal and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
  • Record fault triage, create knowledge-base content, and contribute to training materials.
  • Present technical findings and reports when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience or military background may also qualify.
  • At least five years of experience supporting and maintaining complex server, storage, and networking environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of GPU platforms, BIOS/UEFI, SAS/iSCSI storage protocols, Layer 3 switches, routers, and firmware configurations.
  • Hands-on field experience delivering break/fix support with a strong focus on customer interaction and service delivery.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems; relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong diagnostic ability across hardware faults and software-related issues.
  • Proficiency with BMC utilities such as SMC IPMICFG and SUM, or equivalent tools including iLO and iDRAC.
  • Excellent communication, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
  • Basic Linux navigation skills are required.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
