Remote Field Service Technician – Nevada | Harpak-ULMA Packaging

Install, troubleshoot, and repair Harpak-ULMA packaging equipment, with a focus on multi-head weighers. Provide customer support across a territory requiring 70–85% travel.

Description

  • Diagnose and repair packaging machinery, especially multi-head weighers
  • Support customers on site and remotely to resolve equipment issues
  • Install tray formers, tray sealers, fillers, dosers, form/fill/seal machines, and other packaging equipment
  • Identify solutions proactively to deliver strong customer service
  • Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries
  • Provide technical assistance by phone
  • Work with technicians, engineers, and service managers to address complex problems
  • Take part in training programs
  • Record service calls and solutions thoroughly
  • Use technology tools to improve reporting and retain service knowledge

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in a technical field
  • Three or more years troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Essential: previous experience with multi-head weighers
  • Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
  • Ability to work with high precision and close tolerances
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical education or work experience in electricity, electronics, or equipment maintenance
  • Willingness to travel 70–85% of the time
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a passport for travel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows
  • Experience using service databases and CRM tools such as FileMaker
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics
