Senior Talent Acquisition Operations Manager

Lead the transformation of talent acquisition operations, recruiting technology, analytics, and process governance at Mortenson. Support hiring across construction, development, EPC, craft, non-craft, and college recruiting programs.

Description

  • Oversee talent acquisition operations across craft, non-craft, and college recruiting.
  • Create and deliver a multi-year roadmap for talent acquisition operations.
  • Guide operational transformation through clear priorities, governance, accountability, and lasting adoption.
  • Manage and grow the Talent Acquisition Operations team.
  • Adapt the operating model to changing hiring needs and business growth.
  • Own talent acquisition reporting, systems, and processes.
  • Act as the business owner for recruiting technology while partnering with HR process, data and technology teams, IT, and external providers.
  • Define and track performance indicators, using findings to inform workforce planning and continuous improvement.
  • Create and implement a company-wide strategy for third-party recruiting firms.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, company policies, industry standards, OFCCP requirements, and other regulatory tracking obligations.
  • Create and deliver training for recruiters.
  • Provide resources that promote diversity awareness, reduce bias, and support inclusive recruiting.
  • Lead process improvements from initial design through adoption, measurement, and sustained execution.
  • Improve scalability and flexibility as business priorities and hiring volumes change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of recruiting or human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or directing talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS or database systems, plus the ability to learn additional platforms.
  • Collaborative approach with strong coaching and mentoring capabilities and a record of building positive internal partnerships.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results across competing priorities.
  • Ability to create and present clear presentations for internal audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and develop sound conclusions.
  • Thorough understanding of standard talent acquisition processes and best practices.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, including receptiveness to varied perspectives and feedback.

  • Current legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
