Senior Operations Manager – Complex Care, Leeds Onsite

Lead safe, compliant complex-care services for children and adults with lifelong medical conditions. Oversee teams, quality, commissioning and operational performance for Komplex Group.

Description

  • Provide strategic operational leadership for complex-care services supporting children and adults with lifelong medical conditions
  • Oversee safe, effective and personalised care delivered in service users’ homes
  • Maintain clinical governance, regulatory compliance and person-centred care standards
  • Promote excellent service delivery while monitoring overall business performance
  • Help meet commissioning requirements and prepare services for changing demand
  • Recruit, support and develop nurses and care professionals
  • Provide operational direction and advice to Operations Managers
  • Work closely with the Director of Clinical Skills and Senior Leadership Team
  • Monitor safety, quality and compliance with CQC requirements
  • Advance operational priorities, governance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Introduce preventative controls to reduce operational and care-related risks
  • Lead audits and quality assurance reviews, addressing any identified gaps
  • Ensure service users receive all commissioned care hours
  • Maintain contingency arrangements for staffing shortages and service interruptions
  • Oversee each client’s journey from assessment and care planning through delivery and review
  • Develop effective relationships with NHS teams, ICBs, Social Services, Case Managers and other healthcare professionals
  • Represent Komplex Care in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences and safeguarding discussions
  • Compile and present KPI reporting to the board
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and follow organisational reporting procedures
  • Demonstrate professional integrity and maintain appropriate boundaries

Requirements

  • Demonstrated senior management experience in health and social care
  • Previous healthcare experience is beneficial
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
  • Experience overseeing regulated care services
  • Working knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Background in patient care and service delivery
  • Experience handling budgets and financial oversight
  • Understanding of commissioned and privately funded care models
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proactive approach with sound independent judgement
  • Strong organisation and practical problem-solving ability
  • Able to manage competing priorities while remaining composed under pressure
  • Commitment to safe, person-centred care and ongoing improvement
  • Health and social care management qualification such as ILM or QCF/NVQ Level 5 is desirable
  • Experience working with care management systems is desirable
  • Experience growing services, including tender submissions and bid processes, is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable
  • Legal entitlement to work in the UK
  • Successful basic DBS check and satisfactory vetting
  • Compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and company information and data protection policies
