Remote Medical Receptionist and Scheduling Coordinator – Epic Orthopedic Practice

Description

  • Handle 60–70 inbound and outbound patient calls each day
  • Respond to patient questions, explain visit logistics, and direct clinical matters to the appropriate care team
  • Book routine appointments, follow-ups, and consultations using provider scheduling templates
  • Complete recall and appointment-confirmation calls to reduce no-shows and keep clinic calendars organized
  • Keep patient demographic, contact, and insurance information current in Epic
  • Record calls, patient requests, and message routing promptly and accurately in Epic
  • Complete basic insurance eligibility and benefits checks
  • Gather patient forms, current identification and insurance cards, and registration documents
  • Support additional administrative and virtual front-office activities as needed

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Epic EMR scheduling and patient chart administration
  • A demonstrated record of managing more than 60 inbound and outbound calls per day in a U.S. medical office
  • Working knowledge of appointment scheduling, call triage, message routing, patient registration, and insurance verification
  • Clear, empathetic, and professional spoken English
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast-paced setting
