Managed Services Operations Analyst (Hybrid)

Support SS&C’s trust accounting and financial services clients through managed services operations. Process securities and cash activity, complete reconciliations, and respond to client operational requests.

Description

  • Enter and maintain financial and accounting data in Black Diamond Trust accounting software
  • Deliver daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational support for Managed Services clients
  • Coordinate activities with third-party providers
  • Collaborate with the team on daily operational processes
  • Apply established operational procedures consistently
  • Balance financial transactions and document them according to applicable policies and procedures
  • Process, review, and oversee cash and securities activity, including trade settlement, corporate actions, cash movements, and shadow posting
  • Complete processing and reconciliation work within daily deadlines
  • Communicate with clients about operational activity
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation outages with clients
  • Research, document, and manage issues reported by clients
  • Provide client user support and track service requests through resolution
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships
  • Work with the Client Relationship Team to understand and resolve issues
  • Escalate client issues and concerns when appropriate
  • Build relationships with SS&C | Black Diamond Trust departments and vendors
  • Manage assigned work, issues, workload, and escalations proactively
  • Support teammates with their assigned work and issues
  • Document and share lessons learned
  • Apply policies and procedures to identify process improvements and efficiencies
  • Act as a subject matter expert for team tasks

Requirements

  • Experience working in a deadline-driven operational environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment
  • Experience writing, interpreting, and applying process documentation
  • Experience prioritizing workloads and maintaining organized work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with securities processing
  • Knowledge of publicly traded securities
  • Experience with cash processing
  • Understanding of funds movement processes and deadlines
  • Understanding of trust operations, financial markets, the securities industry, retirement services, charitable giving, and banking
  • Experience using InnoTrust in a Managed Services environment
  • Experience with Black Diamond
  • Experience with Advent ACD
  • Experience with shadow posting
  • Knowledge of SQL
