Contact Center Representative

Support Intermountain Health patients with scheduling, billing, registration, and medical requests. Record information in EMRs and coordinate solutions with clinical care teams.

Description

  • Act as the initial point of contact for Intermountain Health patients, parents, and guardians
  • Respond promptly to calls and relay patient needs to clinical caregivers through messaging
  • Build professional, courteous relationships with patients across omnichannel communications
  • Resolve scheduling, registration, billing, payer, and medical inquiries
  • Record essential patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Partner with clinical and other internal teams to deliver coordinated patient solutions
  • Apply analytical judgment and available technical resources to anticipate and address patient needs
  • Contribute to enterprise productivity and quality programs while supporting Intermountain Health performance indicators

Requirements

  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Proven problem-solving capability and analytical thinking
  • Self-directed approach and ability to perform effectively in a call center setting
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Live within a one-hour drive of Denver or Grand Junction, Colorado, or Butte or Billings, Montana
  • Availability across all operating periods: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and weekends and holidays, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Home internet service must use DSL, fiber optic, or cable; wireless and satellite connections are not permitted
  • Dedicated hardwired Ethernet connection required
  • Ability to see and read information, documents, and computer monitors
  • Ability to speak, hear, and process spoken information quickly and accurately
  • Manual dexterity for operating equipment and frequent computer use
  • Preferred: one year of customer service experience in a hospital or medical office
  • Preferred: familiarity with medical terminology
  • Preferred: experience using electronic medical records (EMRs)
