Clinical Research Associate II Remote China

Support AbbVie’s oncology clinical trials remotely from China through site monitoring, patient-safety oversight, and high-quality clinical data management.

Description

  • Support AbbVie’s clinical development pipeline through high-quality clinical research delivery
  • Collaborate with investigators and site teams to promote effective trial engagement
  • Act as the main contact for investigative sites
  • Provide relevant trial information and connect stakeholders with investigative sites
  • Align, train, and motivate site teams and principal investigators on trial objectives, protocols, and patient-treatment principles
  • Perform site selection, training, routine monitoring, and closeout in accordance with protocols, monitoring plans, regulations, GCP, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and quality standards
  • Tailor site-engagement strategies and use CRM tools to track progress and assess impact
  • Apply protocol, scientific, and clinical-trial expertise to daily study execution
  • Assess recruitment and retention strategies in relation to the patient disease journey
  • Build therapeutic-area, asset, clinical-landscape, and patient-journey knowledge to support recruitment and protocol adherence
  • Mentor and train junior CRAs and support their professional development
  • Contribute to global and local task forces and initiatives
  • Partner with Central Monitoring to continuously assess risks affecting study performance or patient safety
  • Address site risk signals and implement preventive and corrective action plans
  • Identify and assess prospective investigators and clinical sites
  • Protect data quality, ensure timely data submission, and support appropriate safety-event reporting and follow-up
  • Keep assigned sites prepared for audits and regulatory inspections
  • Administer investigator payments in line with executed contract obligations when applicable

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in a health-related field such as medicine, science, or nursing is preferred
  • At least one year of clinically related experience
  • At least six months of clinical research monitoring experience on investigational drug or device trials
  • Familiarity with risk-based monitoring, including on-site and remote monitoring
  • Knowledge of relevant therapeutic-area indications is preferred
  • Ability to understand and apply scientific concepts to clinical-trial conduct
  • Advanced knowledge of local regulatory and legal requirements, ICH/GCP guidelines, and applicable policies
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong planning and organizational ability, with the capacity to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines
  • Advanced ability to use technology, tools, and resources to provide site-focused support
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, active-listening, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted site partnerships through engagement, motivation, and training
  • Ability to use critical thinking and sound judgment when addressing clinical-site issues
  • Commitment to integrity in line with AbbVie’s code of business conduct and leadership values
  • Self-motivated approach with a focus on timely, high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
