Bilingual Document Specialist - Waterloo Hybrid

Prepare and update Group Benefits contracts and employee handbooks for Sun Life clients across Canada. Translate detailed plan designs into accurate, customer-ready documents while coordinating with internal teams.

Description

  • Process new business and revision documents according to established accuracy and turnaround standards
  • Draft and update client contracts and employee handbooks
  • Address questions from internal business partners
  • Review plan design details, request clarification when needed, and confirm the correct outcome
  • Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate system configurations
  • Work with Service Representatives, Implementation Specialists, and Advisors to resolve plan design questions
  • Prioritize and coordinate assignments in a multifunctional work environment
  • Investigate escalated concerns and complaints, then drive them toward resolution
  • Evaluate and negotiate delivery dates that align with customer expectations
  • Contribute to projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Fluency in both French and English is required
  • Demonstrated customer service ability and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, self-directed, and capable of resolving problems effectively
  • Able to negotiate, develop practical solutions, and work toward mutually acceptable outcomes
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks against deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Able to perform under pressure, respond to customer needs, and adapt to change
  • Knowledge of Group Benefits is preferred
  • Familiarity with Plan Administration systems and their interdependencies is preferred
