IT Field Engineer I (Hybrid) - Portland, Oregon
Provide onsite hardware, software, network, and connectivity support as an IT Field Engineer. VC3 supports municipalities and organizations across the United States and Canada.
Tavsif
- Deliver hands-on technical support at client locations
- Travel to scheduled client appointments and notify the Service Coordinator about delays
- Install and configure computers, software, and peripheral devices
- Diagnose and resolve onsite workstation and printer problems
- Support connectivity issues involving ISPs, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS, and Citrix
- Help clients follow technical standards and recommended best practices
- Recognize recurring problems and open problem tickets
- Suggest enhancements to supported hardware and software
- Keep real-time timesheets accurate and document troubleshooting and client communications
- Join the on-call rotation for one week every three to four months
- Work with VC3 technical staff and handle other assigned responsibilities
Talablar
- Have consistent access to a vehicle
- Hold a valid driver’s license without restrictions
- Carry business-class vehicle insurance when residing in Canada
- Have two years of relevant technical experience or one year in a VC3 Service Technician I or II position
- Bring two years of experience administering Windows 10 and 11 client operating systems, Microsoft 365 or Office 365, virus and security tools, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
- Satisfy Criminal Justice Information Services requirements after employment
- Complete criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background checks
