Accounts Payable Accountant

Manage end-to-end accounts payable operations for Chief of Staff Network, including reconciliations, payments, controls, audits, and process improvements.

Tavsif

  • Manage daily accounts payable transactions with accurate coding, documentation, approvals, and adherence to accounting policies and internal controls
  • Set up and maintain vendors while completing related account reconciliations
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and the AP subledger, investigating discrepancies, blocked invoices, payment differences, billing disputes, and other exceptions
  • Complete and oversee monthly AP reconciliations to support an accurate period-end close
  • Work with Accounting and Finance on accruals, employee expenses, and month-end close activities
  • Maintain controls governing vendor records, invoice approvals, and payment processing
  • Improve AP workflows to increase efficiency and reinforce financial controls
  • Provide accurate AP data to support cash management and payment scheduling
  • Use Tipalti and NetSuite for AP processing, reporting, reconciliations, and related accounting work
  • Prepare, review, and process ACH, wire, and check payments
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audit and respond directly to auditor requests
  • Process employee expense reports and reimbursements through Expensify
  • Complete annual 1099 vendor tax filings
  • Contribute to special projects and additional accounting activities

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume setting
  • Strong command of end-to-end AP processes, including three-way matching, vendor reconciliations, payment controls, accruals, month-end close, and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP platforms, ideally NetSuite, and AP workflow or automation tools such as Tipalti and Expensify
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup formulas, and analysis of large data sets
  • Ability to investigate complex AP issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Track record of improving Purchase-to-Pay processes through automation, workflow refinement, or system enhancements
  • Experience onboarding vendors and administering vendor master data
  • Background supporting high-volume accounts payable operations
  • Experience with e-commerce accounting and marketplace reconciliations
  • Experience handling audit requests and compliance reporting
  • Ability to develop AP metrics and aging analyses and turn data into recommendations for leadership
  • Experience acting as an escalation point and training or guiding AP team members
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and dependable in meeting deadlines
  • Genuine interest in the company’s mission, positioning, and brand
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in accounting or a related field required
  • CPA certification preferred but not required
