Descriere

  • Set shared frameworks, processes, and standards for Engagement Management across markets.
  • Partner with regional leaders to apply standards consistently and keep them practical as the Program Officer network grows.
  • Evaluate the function using Program Officer feedback, the quality and consistency of management support, and capacity and coverage.
  • Spot recurring issues and prioritise improvements based on feedback and experience across regions.
  • Apply global standards in ways that account for local circumstances, client expectations, and role requirements.
  • Ensure Engagement Managers give Program Officers accessible, dependable guidance and support.
  • Create an environment where Program Officers feel comfortable raising concerns and asking for help.
  • Offer senior guidance on complex or sensitive matters, involving HR when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with regional leaders, HR, and Client Success on Program Officer support, employment matters, and client expectations.
  • Ensure Engagement Managers help Program Officers meet role and institutional expectations.
  • Strengthen management feedback, clarify expectations, recognise contributions, and address challenges constructively.
  • Work with Client Success and regional leaders to resolve issues that affect Program Officer effectiveness or service quality.
  • Set functional priorities and clear expectations for Engagement Managers.
  • Coach managers on sound judgement, difficult conversations, and management standards.
  • Review Engagement Manager effectiveness with regional directors and provide focused guidance.
  • Encourage teams across countries to share experience and effective practices.
  • Build alignment and accountability across a matrix structure without relying on direct reporting authority.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Leadership experience in international higher education, professional services, or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of universities’ international activity and the realities of representing institutions overseas.
  • Experience leading managers or overseeing teams across multiple countries or regions.
  • A strong record in people management, staff wellbeing, and supporting effective performance.
  • Experience coaching managers and handling complex or sensitive staff matters with discretion and sound judgement.
  • Ability to establish practical processes and standards and help teams apply them consistently.
  • Ability to lead in a matrix structure, build relationships, and influence colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial and operational judgement, including an understanding of client commitments, service boundaries, and business requirements.
  • High cultural awareness, adaptability, and interpersonal effectiveness.
