Field Service Engineer at GLORY – UK Remote

Maintain and support customer electro-mechanical technology across South Birmingham and North Worcestershire. The role covers planned maintenance, Windows diagnostics, networking, installations, and priority service callouts.

Apraksts

  • Complete planned maintenance, installations, upgrades, and priority visits for urgent customer issues
  • Identify and resolve faults using symptoms, logs, data, root-cause analysis, and corrective fixes
  • Use a Windows laptop to run service tools, review logs, apply updates and configurations, and record actions
  • Handle network connectivity tasks, including LAN connections, IP settings, basic troubleshooting, and device-interface access
  • Repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment such as modules, sensors, motors, transport mechanisms, and power components
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and strengthen equipment reliability
  • Keep customers informed and establish clear expectations throughout service visits
  • Record completed work, parts used, findings, and recommended next steps accurately
  • Escalate complex issues to technical support with relevant evidence, logs, and fault details
  • Meet agreed SLAs by prioritising urgent work with scheduling and technical teams to support first-time fixes and limit disruption
  • Organise your workload independently while reporting to the Field Service Manager

Prasības

  • Demonstrated field service experience in a customer-facing environment, ideally with ATMs, printers or MFDs, EPOS systems, kiosks, vending equipment, security systems, cash-handling technology, or similar products
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electro-mechanical systems
  • Confident use of Windows laptops for diagnostics, reporting, and communication
  • Practical networking knowledge covering LAN or Ethernet, IP addressing, connectivity checks, and device-interface access
  • Excellent written and verbal customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and manage each day according to priorities and workload in coordination with the Regional Service Controller
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to configure a static IP, access a router or switch, investigate connection failures, and apply basic networking knowledge
  • Experience working to SLAs and handling high-priority callouts is desirable
  • Understanding of field health and safety practices is desirable
  • Experience with hardware or software upgrades, device configuration, or remote support tools is desirable
  • Coaching or mentoring experience is desirable
