- Lead complex data engineering delivery with limited direction while meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals
- Manage teams inclusively and serve as a key escalation point
- Build data pipelines with Spark, Python, or SQL
- Use AWS data and AI/ML services, including SageMaker
- Work with AWS big data and lakehouse platforms such as EMR, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Design and implement Data Lakes, Lakehouses, or Data Meshes
- Understand data security, data governance, and responsible AI principles
- Influence senior stakeholders and establish trusted relationships
- Anticipate project risks and assemble multidisciplinary subject-matter expert teams
- Bring subject-matter expertise across multiple clients and industries
- Productionise and operate data and AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI or LLM applications
- Coach and mentor engineers
- Desirable: experience with automated data-quality checks and metrics
- Desirable: familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or CircleCI
- Desirable: experience with LLM or foundation-model applications, LangChain, vector databases, or agentic AI
